Dear Aunty Lisa,
I met my good friend last week, after 7 months of not meeting up. I was shocked to see her – she had gained a large amount of weight! I did not say anything to her, but I had to work hard to hide my surprise. She is a very good friend of mine and I am very worried about her.
Her mother recently passed away, and ever since then, she has become a little reserved and does not go out as much as she used to. I don’t know if I should talk to her about this, what if she gets hurt and embarrassed? But I can’t just not say anything – what if she doesn’t stop gaining weight and becomes unhealthier?
I am not comfortable staying quiet about this, I want to talk to her. But how?
A Confused Friend.
